昨日の約束通り添削を依頼。skypeのチャットボックスにこちらが入力して添削してもらうのはお互い見にくいので、このブログに英文の記事を書いてそのURLを送り、授業中にしてもらった添削を反映して記事を更新するというやり方。というわけでこれは更新後の記事です。
今日は七五三を説明したり、死刑制度について論じたり、濃密なレッスンだったー。

I try to share something about religion in Japan.
Could you correct this article?

Major religions in Japan are Buddhism and Shintoism which is the traditional polytheistic religion of Japan, and both of them can be believed together. Incidentally, Christians are less than 1% of its population.

We often go to shrine to celebrate the new year, to pray for child's healthy growth as a family's event and so on. some important occassions like the New Year and also during November especially when a child will turn 3,5 and 7 years old as a custom in Japan, that we pray for the good health of the child that will last all throughout a lifetime.

On the other hand, we hold the Buddhist service of someones death like a funeral. funeral service are usually administered by Buddhist as well as during the commemoration of someone's death.
 *commemoration means honoring or remembering the memory of someone's death

It isn't unusual to have both a Buddhist altar and a household Shinto altar in one house, so does my grandmother. altars Buddhist and Shinto in one house, just like my grandmothers'.

Most of Japanese are tolerant toward religions. when it comes to religion.
We don't care our religions wellAs we don't actually give that much importance to it  in everyday life.


昨日のレッスンで言及しちゃったので、地下鉄サリン事件についても。

-The Subway Sarin Incident; the sarin gas attack on the Tokyo subway
Some members of a cult religious group cult scattered poisonous gas which is called Sarin in the Tokyo's subway in Tokyo in 17 years ago, on March 20, 1995.
 *cultはgroupの意味も含む。
In this terrible incident there were many casualties being recorded, 12 people died and more than 6,000 people got injured.
It was the first ever terror attack in the world for which the chemical weapon was being used to citizens in the big cities.
Some The criminals including the cult leader received death sentence. were sentenced to death.


ちなみにこの後、死刑の方法、是非について議論。
We also discussed about death penalty.

絞首刑というと驚いていた。フィリピンでは、lethal injection致死量の毒の注射なんだそうだ。
